Welcome

This platform lets you enjoy the regattas in an interactive way. In addition to following the live broadcast, you can take part in different activities and share your opinion to make the experience more entertaining.

Below we explain how to use each of the available features.

Live broadcast

From the home page you can access the regatta stream. The first installation of the plugin is only required once.

Before you start

If this is your first time accessing it, the browser may ask you to install a plugin to play the live video correctly.

Step 1. Access the broadcast

From the platform home page, click the player or the Watch broadcast button. The browser may ask for permission to detect your operating system; you need to press Allow to continue playback.

Step 2. Download the plugin

If the browser detects that the plugin is not installed, a message will appear indicating that it needs to be downloaded. Click Download plugin.

Step 3. Extract and run the installer

Once the download has finished, extract the file and follow the installation wizard instructions for your operating system.

Depending on the operating system, your computer may request administrator permissions to complete the process. This step is only required on Windows; on Linux and macOS, go to Step 5.

Step 4. Complete the installation

Follow the wizard steps until the message appears indicating that the installation has completed successfully. This step is only required on Windows; on Linux and macOS, go to Step 5.

Step 5. Run the plugin

Run the plugin on your computer so the broadcast can start.

On Windows, go to your desktop and run the "MediaPlugin" shortcut.
On Linux or Mac, run the mediamtx file from a terminal with execution permissions.
You may also need to grant execution permissions to the ffmpeg file.

Step 6. Return to the platform

Once the plugin has been installed, return to the platform. The player should start automatically.

You can press the Check button to start the stream.
You can also reload the page; playback should start automatically.

3D viewing experience

Access a 3D viewing experience to follow the regattas from a different perspective.

How to access

Select the 3D viewing option on the platform and follow the on-screen instructions.

Interactive activities

Use the top menu to take part in short experiences designed to accompany the regatta broadcast.

Survey

In the top menu you will find the Survey section, where you can take part in a simple, quick survey related to the regattas and the event.

The survey consists of 10 short questions, so you can complete it in one minute.

Go to the Survey section from the top menu.
Read each of the questions.
Select the answer you consider most appropriate.

Your opinion helps us better understand regatta fans and continue improving these interactive experiences.

Test your knowledge

In the top menu you will find the Quiz section, where you can show how much you know about the world of regattas.

The Quiz consists of 8 quick-answer questions related to this sport.

Go to the Quiz section from the top menu.
Read each question and select the answer you think is correct.
Continue until you complete all 8 questions.
At the end, check your score and compare it with the rest of the participants.

Accept the challenge and discover whether you are a true regatta expert.

Choose your favourite team

In the top menu you will find the Pick One section, a dynamic game inspired by the popular social media format.

You will have to choose between two options until you discover which team is your favourite.

Go to the Pick One section from the top menu.
Two teams will be shown on each screen.
Select the team you prefer.
The chosen team will automatically move on to the next round, where it will face a new team.
Continue making your choices until you reach the end.

At the end, you will discover which boat you have chosen as your favourite after completing all the rounds.

Satisfaction survey

While you browse the platform, a pop-up window will appear inviting you to rate your experience.

The survey simply consists of selecting the number of stars you want to give to your experience using the platform. It can be completed in just a few seconds.

Your rating helps us understand users' satisfaction levels and continue improving the platform and future interactive experiences.

Demographic information

You may also be asked for information such as gender or other demographic data.

Providing this data is voluntary, and it is used only in aggregated and anonymous form to better understand the profile of the people taking part in the project.

The information collected helps improve future interactive experiences related to the regattas.
